Rubber Fender
Molded rubber fenders that absorb berthing energy and protect jetties, wharves, dolphins and vessels.
Absorbing berthing energy, protecting the structure
Rubber fenders are installed on jetties, wharves, dolphins and vessels to absorb the kinetic energy of a berthing ship and to limit the reaction force transferred to the structure and the hull.
Our fenders are molded from weather, ozone and seawater resistant rubber compounds and have been supplied to ports and marine facilities since the early days of the company.
Applications
- Ports, jetties, wharves and quay walls
- Berthing and mooring dolphins
- Tugboats, barges, ferries and work boats
- Lock gates, dry docks and floating structures
Fender types
Profile and size are selected from the vessel displacement, berthing velocity and the allowable reaction force of the structure.
Cylindrical fender
Simple, robust and economical. Hung on chains or mounted on brackets, suitable for a wide range of vessels.
D type and square fender
Solid profiles bolted directly to the structure or hull. Common on tugboats, barges and small quays.
Arch (V) fender
Trapezoidal section with high energy absorption and a stable reaction, for medium to large vessels.
Cell and cone fender
High performance fenders with steel frontal panel for large vessels and high berthing energies.
Features
- High energy absorption with low reaction force
- Rubber compound resistant to seawater, UV, ozone and ageing
- Supplied with fixing accessories: anchor bolts, chains, brackets and shackles
- Standard profiles from stock or custom molded to drawing
